Trainee IFA – Cardiff – Up to £40,000

Join to apply for the Trainee IFA role at Eden Rose. We are working with a forward‑thinking financial planning firm in Cardiff that is looking to welcome a motivated and people‑focused Trainee IFA. This is a rare opportunity for a diploma‑qualified paraplanner or junior adviser to step into a regulated advice role quickly, with structured development and hands‑on mentoring.

The firm prides itself on progressing advisers at pace – not keeping trainees at the back for 12–18 months. Most trainees move into a full advisory role within 3–6 months, with full adviser status realistically achieved by mid‑next year.

You will attend client meetings from day one, gain direct exposure to the advice process, and receive close guidance on your early cases to build confidence rapidly.

• Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience

• Monday–Thursday working pattern
• Direct mentoring with structured case support
• Exam support and continued professional development

• Attending client meetings with advisers
• Conducting fact finds, risk profiling and client discussions
• Preparing recommendations with guidance from senior advisers
• Reviewing early cases with the leadership team (“What would you do?” learning approach)
• Building rapport with clients from the outset
• Developing into a fully independent adviser with ongoing support

• Level 4 Diploma qualified (minimum)
• Experience with in paraplanning, client services or financial planning
• Strong communication and client‑facing skills
• Keen to progress quickly into full advice
• Positive, motivated and eager to learn in a hands‑on environment
