Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Financial Forecasting & Modelling Analyst to play a key role in designing, building and continuously improving PBS’s financial forecasting estate. This is a high‑impact role within an ambitious transformation programme aimed at strengthening forecasting, planning and decision‑support capability across Finance, Risk and Treasury. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover.
Responsibilities- Model development
:
Design, build and enhance financial forecasting and modelling capability across Finance, Risk and Treasury using new and existing technologies. - Model validation
:
Establish and maintain model validation frameworks, including sensitivity and stress testing, to ensure accuracy, consistency and robustness. - Drive insight
:
Develop analysis on customer behaviour and profitability that provides insights into customer patterns and portfolio performance. - Streamlining processes
:
Establish forecasting assumption monitoring systems, reducing manual tasks and increasing efficiency through automation. - Model resilience
:
Support the roll‑out of the model effectiveness framework and ensure best practices are adhered to and maintained. - Decision support
:
Partner with FP&A, Product and Balance Sheet Management teams to support forecasting and enhance decision‑making.
- Experience
:
Strong experience in financial forecasting, modelling and planning within financial services. - Data expertise
:
Ability to leverage analytics and data‑driven insights to understand customers and portfolio performance. - Collaborative spirit
:
You thrive on challenging conventions to innovate and succeed. - Communication skills
:
Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at every level. - Advanced data skills
:
Proficient in Excel, data warehouses, manipulating large data sets and using coding languages (SQL, VBA, SAS or similar) to create efficient data models. - Qualifications
:
Degree qualified in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Finance, Computing or Engineering.
