Healthcare Assistant

Overview

Join Nurseline Community Services to provide compassionate, high‑complex mental health care at home for people with behavior that challenges and personality disorders. We are looking for dedicated HCAs to lead the delivery of person‑centered mental health services directly in people's homes, ensuring care is both effective and reflective of our community values.

• Provide mobility support, including basic moving and handling.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Help with meal preparation, nutrition, hydration, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and, when needed, financial assistance.
• Administer medication and maintain accurate documentation and records.

• 6 months of previous experience in healthcare settings, in community or home‑based care.
• Experience in managing complex health needs, with a focus on mental health, and working with diverse populations.
• Driving license is essential for community work and transport of the people we support.
• PMVA training is required.

• Exceptional leadership and organizational abilities.
• Genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives, with a commitment to providing the highest level of compassionate care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle complex interpersonal situations compassionately.

• Empathetic and able to manage under pressure.
• Open to feedback and able to incorporate it positively.
• Friendly, understanding, and capable of addressing issues proactively.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience supporting people with eating disorders and complex physical health needs.
