Role

Scrum Master (Cardiff, UK) – Department:
Technology & Product. Reporting to the Lead Scrum Master, the Scrum Master will work with on-site and offshore development teams, engineering management, product management and business leaders to successfully implement Agile/SCRUM framework and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Guide and coach assigned Scrum Team(s) and organisation on Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver quality software aligned with customer needs.
  • Schedule and facilitate all Scrum team events, ensuring they are time-boxed and focused.
  • Assess Scrum maturity and coach teams to higher maturity levels sustainably.
  • Support teams with servant leadership, embodying Scrum and Agile.
  • Remove impediments and coordinate with organisational personnel to resolve issues.
  • Co‑coach Product Owner(s) on backlog refinement and management.
  • Manage the Scrum board and team space in JIRA & Confluence.
  • Track metrics and provide transparency for inspection and adaptation.
  • Facilitate decision making, conflict resolution and ensure work gets done.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A) preferred.
  • 1-2 years Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Comfortable with JIRA (JQL, metrics), Confluence, MS Excel, MS Teams/Outlook Calendar.
  • CSM or PSM I certification.
  • Strong soft skills: communication, conflict resolution, negotiation.
  • Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
  • Understanding of statistical measures (mean, median, mode, percentiles, range, variance, standard deviation).
  • Excellent presentation skills before groups within the organisation.
