Data Analyst
Role Overview
Passionate about how digital can transform healthcare, for our donors, patients and colleagues? We have an exciting Digital Services team opportunity for a Data Analyst, to work collaboratively across the Trust and wider NHS Wales, to provide transformative digital systems and insight‑led services.
We are in an exciting period of change including opening a new world‑class cancer centre to extend and enhance specialist cancer treatment along with delivery of cancer care closer to home at regional sites. For the Welsh Blood Service, we are transforming blood and transplant services, improving current capabilities alongside developing new services including plasma for medicines.
An ambitious digital strategy underpins this, which will revolutionise the way in which we deliver services - from co‑producing innovative technologies, working on digital inclusion, to embedding data & insight into our everyday. Our team are here to deliver new digital solutions and excellent everyday digital service, to improve services and outcomes. We recognise that successful digital transformation and service is as much to do with our people and culture as it is to do with technology.
The provision of high‑quality Data and Insight services is central to the purpose and vision for the Trust to improve lives through excellent care, inspirational learning, and healthier people.
Operating as part of a digital multi‑disciplinary team, the Data Analyst will effectively engage with colleagues across all areas of the Trust to help coproduce robust, user‑centred, pragmatic analytical solutions.
Responsibilities- Using your knowledge of multiple analytical techniques, you will support the delivery of analytical projects and contribute to the wider programme of work across Data and Insights, supporting the wider team to meet the expected standard of quality and timeliness.
- You will be expected to contribute to the spirit of curiosity and creativity across Data & Insights and the wider Digital Services team and actively participate in learning networks across the NHS and wider.
- The Data Analyst will support the delivery of the Trust's digital strategy, working to embed a user‑centric, agile ethos into our ways of working.
- Through the relationships established across the Trust, the Data Analyst will support the improvement of data literacy (skills & comfort) of the wider Trust workforce, developing analytical products that are easy to understand and use and also support informal skills transition.
