Associate Solicitor – Residential Conveyancing

We are seeking an experienced Associate Solicitor to join our busy Residential Conveyancing Department in Cardiff. Reporting to the Equity Partner and Head of Department, you will manage a varied caseload, support departmental development, and play an active role in driving the growth of our Cardiff office.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion

* Draft legal documents, review title documents, conduct searches, liaise with third parties and advise clients throughout their transaction

* Prepare completion statements, exchange contracts, handle completions, and manage SDLT and Land Registry submissions

* Deliver excellent client care and ensure full compliance with SRA rules

* Support business development in Cardiff, attending regular networking events

* Strengthen client relationships and contribute to departmental and firm-wide initiatives

* Lead by example, promoting high standards and a safe working environment

About You

* Admitted Solicitor with ideally 5+ years PQE in residential conveyancing

* Strong track record of performance as an Associate Solicitor (or previous Head of Dept/Partner)

* Excellent communication, decision-making and organisational skills

* Confident in balancing competing priorities and handling complex matters

* Able to mentor and motivate colleagues and contribute positively to team culture

* Flexible to work outside normal hours where required
