Position Overview:

The firm’s highly successful Court of Protection department is seeking paralegals to join its growing team. This is a rare opportunity to join the leading Court of Protection team in Wales, which is ranked in Chambers & Partners 2024 Guide and was named Public Law Team of the Year at the Wales Legal Awards 2022.

Key Responsibilities:

To support the team’s fee earners with the management and progression of cases.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Have a strong interest in human rights law, mental capacity law, medical based law, welfare law, or a passion for helping people who are unable to advocate for themselves.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to be empathetic when working with vulnerable adults.
  • Be organised and proactive to thrive in a busy department that works within a fast paced and high-pressured environment with organisational skills required in a team that works to tight court deadlines.
  • Have excellent IT literacy and experience of legal case management systems.
  • Be experienced in the general administrative duties associated with a litigation team e.g. speaking with new and potential clients, preparing court bundles, liaising with third parties (including the court and counsel) and supporting case progression.

Vacancies are based in both the Cardiff and Swansea offices, with flexibility between offices as well as the possibility for hybrid work arrangements after the initial training period.
