The Role

The Broker Sales Team Leader plays a pivotal role in driving mortgage completions and leading a high-performing sales team. This hybrid role balances hands‑on application management with strategic leadership, fostering strong relationships with broker firms and internal departments to deliver outstanding results.

Time Allocation

30% – Managing new mortgage applications through to completion

70%Team leadership and strategic responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Application Management (30%) – Lead by example
  • Oversee and progress new mortgage applications from submission to completion.
  • Ensure timely and compliant processing aligned with lender and regulatory standards
Team Leadership & Strategy (70%)
  • Lead, coach, and motivate Broker Sales Executives (BSEs) to exceed individual and team SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Foster a high-performance culture by setting clear goals and expectations
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development plans
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback
  • Act as escalation point for BSEs and broker firms
  • Maintain regular contact with broker firms and their team leaders to strengthen partnerships
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration with:
    • Quality Assurance
    • Underwriting
    • Business Change
    • Business Analysts
