DescriptionPriory Hospital Cardiff is looking to recruit a bank staff nurse to join the team. This is a bank role with shifts for days and nights.
- Day shifts – 07:30 to 19:45
- Night shifts – 19:30 to 07:45
Priory Cardiff is a modern mental health treatment unit. The unit includes a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, a hydrotherapy pool, patient practice kitchens, patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas.
What you'll be doingYou will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Bank Staff nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patient’s named nurse.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.

The successful candidate will hold current NMC registration and have completed a preceptorship programme. They will possess sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests, and professional practices, along with evidence of ongoing post-registration continuing professional development. A positive attitude and a strong commitment to change, improvement, and delivering high‑quality care are essential for this role.
