About the apprenticeshipDuties
- Food Preparation
:
Washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients as directed by chefs. - Cleaning & Sanitation
:
Maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, equipment, dishes, and utensils, adhering to strict hygiene standards. - Dishwashing
:
Washing, drying, and properly storing all kitchenware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. - Stock Management
:
Receiving, unpacking, and correctly storing food supplies and other kitchen ingredients. This includes checking sell‑by dates, rotating stock, and managing storerooms. - Kitchen Operations
:
Keeping the kitchen environment clean, organised, and safe by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste. - Chef Support
:
Assisting chefs and cooks with any other kitchen tasks as needed, including helping with basic meal preparation or taking instructions.
Reporting Structure
You will report directly to the Head Chef.
