Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager will support and, in the absence of the Shop Manager, lead the management of shop operations and team. The role includes opening and closing the shop, cash management, team guidance, customer experience and brand ambassador duties. The Assistant Manager will act as a clear communicator, drive high standards, identify improvement opportunities and ensure adherence to all operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop and the shop team.
- In the absence of the Shop Manager, lead from the front in managing the operation and running of the shop and the shop team.
- Open and close the shop.
- Manage and guide the shop team.
- Apply cash management procedures.
- Use the company Time and Attendance system and ensure team adherence.
- Maintain shop presentation standards.
- Encourage team collaboration and improvement ideas.
- Identify opportunities to achieve high‑standard teamwork.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Educate and guide team members to provide excellent customer service.
- Accept and process customer bets accurately through multiple channels, including EPOS.
- Act as a brand ambassador and introduce customers to the multi‑channel/digital journey.
- Ensure shop adherence to all operational, cash management and security procedures.
- Adhere to Social Responsibility duties.
- Confidently lead a team and inspire others.
- Build excellent working relationships with colleagues.
- Operate with trust and integrity; be an excellent role model.
- Excellent communicator, capable of clear guidance and feedback to staff and customers.
- Adaptable to different situations, leading from the front and bringing new ideas forward.

- 1 year Assistant Manager/Supervisor Retail experience.
- Industry experience is welcomed but not essential; full training will be provided.
