Role Overview
Holdsworth Foods is a leading food distribution business with a strong reputation for exceptional service and high‑quality products. We are looking for a dynamic, results‑driven, and service‑led Account Manager to strengthen our team in the Cardiff and Swansea area.
Responsibilities- Open new accounts and build the account base to ensure volume sales across the range of the Company's products to existing customers, achieving sales targets and company profit margins.
- Develop new business and strengthen existing accounts through new products, menu marketing, and promotional activity.
- Deliver efficient, economical territory coverage to meet sales and profit targets.
- Confidently represent the full product range, pricing structures, and discounts.
- Plan daily activities to maximise customer visits and profitable route planning.
- Maintain accurate customer records, including sales history and relevant details.
- Stay informed on account credit status and liaise with Accounts as necessary.
- Monitor competitor activity and report market intelligence.
- Maintain strong communication with the Tele Sales team – teamwork is key.
- Handle ad‑hoc tasks including attending exhibitions, investigating customer complaints, and supporting special projects.
- Demonstrated success in consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets, with a proven track record of high performance in a sales‑driven environment.
- Two years of food service sales or food catering background.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Computer literate and proficient.
- Ability to multi‑task effectively, prioritize workloads and work to deadlines.
- Interest in food and food trends.

Holdsworth Foods is a family‑owned wholesale supplier that specialises in frozen, chilled and ambient goods for the catering industry. With over 50 years of experience, we are a preferred partner for a variety of caterers, including local authorities, hospitals, independent schools, pub groups, restaurants and cafes. Our primary operations involve warehousing and distribution from our ten sites across the UK, which feature two catering butchery facilities.
