Corporate Trainee - Bilingual Youth Work Assistant (Welsh Essential)

About The ServiceOur Youth Service Team is looking to employ a Corporate Trainee based at Gabalfa Youth and Community Centre, Colwill Road, Cardiff, CF14 2QQ
. The team operates across a range of provisions for young people aged 11-25, including youth centres, specialist provisions, targeted support, project work and street‑based teams.
In this Corporate Trainee role you will develop the skills needed to fully contribute to our Service. You will support the team with event, project and workshop planning, delivery and evaluation.
Responsibilities include:
- Facilitating face‑to‑face sessions to support young people’s personal, social and educational development.
- Collating data such as membership, attendance and participation.
- Carrying out IT‑based tasks and using a variety of software.
- Working from different youth centres across Cardiff, including unsociable hours, evenings and weekends.
We offer on‑the‑job training and supervision, support from a named mentor and a manager to develop transferable skills. Work is part‑time (18.5 h/week) but the advertised salary is based on a full‑time role (37 h/week). The contract is temporary for 6 months if full time, or longer if part time.

- Eligibility to live in Cardiff.
- Welsh communication level 4 – Advanced.
- Graduates eligible to apply.
Desirable criteria may include previous youth work experience and additional language skills.
