Job Summary:
We are seeking a Principal Social Worker to join the MASH Team in Cardiff. This ongoing locum opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of £41.00 for full-time work. In this role, you will provide leadership, shape practice within the team, support high-risk safeguarding decisions, and contribute to the development of staff and services. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people while working collaboratively with partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a small sub-team while supporting the Team Manager.

Provide supervision, guidance, and professional development to maintain high standards of service delivery.

Chair or contribute to high-risk strategy meetings on a rotational basis.

Support referral assessments, allocation, and authorisation in collaboration with the Team Manager.

Foster strong and productive relationships with MASH partner agencies.

Contribute to service development initiatives, including the implementation of the Signs of Safety approach.

Make critical safeguarding decisions under tight deadlines.

Participate in flexible working arrangements while maintaining committed office presence as required.
