We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Consultant Physician in Respiratory & General Medicine with specialist interest in lung cancer to join our friendly and enthusiastic team at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC).

Our trust is committed to delivering outstanding hospital and health services to half a million people. Established on 1st October 2019, we are creating a centre of excellence in providing rural and remote healthcare and offer a wide range of community and acute services throughout north Cumbria and beyond.

Post based primarily at The Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, with requirement to work at West Cum Hospital as per job plan. Successful applicants must have full registration with the GMC and must be on the Specialist Register to be eligible for appointment to this level of post. The role requires specialist interest in lung cancer and lung cancer diagnostics, including bronchoscopy and end‑bronchial ultrasound.

• Out‑patient and in‑patient duties in respiratory and general medicine
• Regular commitment to in‑reach into the medical admissions unit
• On‑call for general medicine

• Full registration with the GMC
• Appointment to the Specialist Register (required for post)
• Specialist interest in lung cancer and diagnostics such as bronchoscopy and end‑bronchial ultrasound
