UX/UI Designer

Before the deck, before the launch, before the applause, there's the idea, and Tech Sphere wants an UX/UI Designer who lives at that first spark. What makes this Tech Sphere role different is the ownership; the $72,000 - $113,000 and contract hours are just the entry fee.

• Knead a clumsy stock photo into something that feels shot for Tech Sphere
• Co-author the creative content calendar with marketing, then make it look effortless
• Adapt master concepts into channel-specific formats and aspect ratios
• Reframe a rejected idea as the seed of the one that finally lands
• Prototype three creative concepts cheap so the fourth can go deep
• Engineer a template system flexible enough to survive Tech Sphere's rebrand
• Present design rationale clearly to mid-level stakeholders and clients

• A growth mindset and openness to constructive feedback
• The composure to deliver bad news early and clearly
• Confident communicator across email, calls, and in-person meetings
• Experience thriving in a proudly-nerdy, deadline-driven setting like Tech Sphere
• Real Leadership chops, plus the Zeplin curiosity to keep growing
• Comfort being accountable for a solutions-focused outcome in a contract role
• Calm under the people-first chaos a mid-level role tends to generate

People choose Tech Sphere because we pair growth-minded technology with a team that genuinely cares, right here in Carlsbad. A mid-level engineer and a director debate Zeplin ideas on equal footing in our Carlsbad standups.
