We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to join our Difficult Asthma Team for a one‑year project aimed at developing and enhancing our service. This role will make a real difference in patient care and support the delivery of a high‑quality pathway for those with complex asthma needs.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for all administrative tasks related to the Difficult Asthma Biologic Pathway.
  • Prepare cases for Multi‑Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings.
  • Book appointments and ensure that outcomes are actioned promptly.
  • Provide essential administrative support to the Lead Respiratory Consultant for Asthma and the Asthma Interface Specialist Nurses.
  • Maintain accurate data on Health Board systems and manage clinic schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with policies for filing, correspondence, and record‑keeping.
  • Coordinate with teams and other Health Boards to keep patient care running smoothly.
  • Answer queries, share updates, and make sure everything from paperwork to transport is in place.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Desirable:
    Ability to speak Welsh;
    Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
  • Familiarity with Health Board systems and healthcare administrative processes is preferred.

    Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.

    Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire;
    Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire.
  • Two integrated care centres:
    Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings.
  • 47 general practices (six health‑board managed), 97 community pharmacies, 43 general ophthalmic practices, and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers.
  • Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services.
