Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is seeking applications from individuals for the role of permanent Head of Corporate Communications within the Corporate Communications Department based at Service Headquarters, Carmarthen.

The Role

The successful post holder will be responsible for the Service’s Corporate Communications, which includes managing the Service’s reputation and brand identity. The role is required to design, develop, and manage the delivery of the Communications Strategy and Service’s communications channels.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the Corporate Communications department, ensuring that all appropriate standards and processes covering the management and delivery of all aspects of Communications and Engagement and Welsh Language are in place, up to date and applied effectively and consistently, including ensuring that the Service meets the requirements of the Welsh Language Standards.

The post holder will work with the Service’s Executive Leadership Team to develop and implement the Service’s Communications and Engagement Strategy in line with the Service’s Community Risk Management Plan 2040.

This is a full-time post working 37 hours per week with flexible hours in line with the Service’s flexi-time scheme.
