Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and help maintain accurate, timely financial reporting in Carmel, Indiana. This role will oversee key close activities, support compliance obligations, and provide direction across payables and vendor-related processes. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, sound judgment, and a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day accounting functions.

Responsibilities:
• Direct the monthly accounting close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial records are complete and reliable.
• Manage general ledger activity by reviewing postings, preparing entries, and maintaining proper documentation for all significant transactions.
• Perform and oversee balance sheet and account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly and improving accuracy across the ledger.
• Supervise accounts payable operations, including invoice review, payment workflows, and controls related to vendor records.
• Administer payroll tax-related accounting tasks and help ensure filings, accruals, and supporting records are handled correctly.
• Coordinate vendor oversight activities, maintaining organized documentation and supporting strong external partner relationships.
• Lead year-end 1099 reporting compliance by validating payment data and ensuring required forms are prepared accurately and on time.
• Support financial statement audit readiness by organizing schedules, responding to requests, and maintaining clear accounting support.
• Utilize Quick Books Online and related tools to monitor transactions, maintain reporting integrity, and support efficient accounting operations.
