The Urban Driver Apprenticeship is a 15‑month programme where apprentices learn all aspects of professional driving and obtain a Category C1 (7.5t) licence. Successful completion leads to a full‑time 7.5t driver position at DX.

• Represent DX in a professional manner at all times.
• Carry out all tasks required as part of the apprenticeship training.
• Drive vehicles safely and legally, ensuring compliance with all company and legal requirements.
• Perform daily checks, report defects, and complete correct paperwork.
• Ensure products are scanned using DX scanning equipment.
• Load deliveries safely before leaving the depot.
• Observe DX procedures and policies at all times.
• Manage routing to achieve premium and timed deliveries.
• Use correct equipment and PPE, ensuring it is in good order.
• Report delivery or on‑road issues to the traffic office immediately.
• Deliver excellent customer service and address any customer issues politely and effectively.
• Collect payments in line with given instructions and times.

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Minimum 12 months of UK driving experience.
• Current Category B licence.
• Will obtain a CPC licence as part of the apprenticeship.
