We’re representing a highly reputable client in the manufacturing industry who is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead their finance function.

About You
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) or qualified by experience in a senior role
  • 5–10 years post‑qualification experience at senior accountant level
  • Excellent analytical, reporting and IT skills, including MIS and advanced Excel
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Proven leadership ability and strong commercial awareness
  • Experience in manufacturing, product costing, or ERP systems (desirable)
Your Responsibilities Always
  • Lead the finance function and ensure full compliance with reporting standards, legal requirements and IFRS
  • Produce accurate monthly accounts, budgets and group reporting for the parent company
  • Provide analysis, insights and recommendations to support business performance
  • Oversee statutory accounts and audits, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and effective use of the ERP system
  • Support departmental managers on KPIs, cost management and inventory valuation
  • Ensure VAT returns, policies and core financial processes are completed accurately and on time
  • Uphold health, safety and environmental compliance
Often
  • Participate in preparing quotations for new business and grant applications
  • Monitor and manage existing bank loans
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement programmes and information‑sharing initiatives
  • Provide support across the organisation on financial reporting and system‑related queries
Occasionally
  • Undertake Company Secretary legal requirements
  • Liaise with external regulatory bodies
  • Support other duties or project‑based work as required
