Staff Accountant - in Office - Carrollton, TX

Position: Staff Accountant - 2 Days in Office - Carrollton, TX ($75k-80k + Bonus)

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant on behalf of a confidential client. Our client is an established, multi-location organization seeking a motivated accounting professional to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a bachelor's degree in Accounting who is looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting while gaining exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations across multiple business locations and investigate discrepancies.
• Process electronic funds transfer (EFT) transactions and support daily accounting operations.
• Assist with monthly financial close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting principles.
• Develop supporting schedules and documentation for annual external audits.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports to support management needs.
• Access and maintain historical financial information through legacy accounting systems.
• Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established accounting procedures.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Interest in pursuing a CPA license is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
