The job of IT User Support Technician is done for the purpose/s of installing and maintaining computer hardware and software; resolving immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and providing in-service training and documentation of applications and hardware. Additionally, this position provides support to telecom equipment, and performs CAT5 cable installation and repair.

This job reports to the IT Manager.

Essential functions of the job include:

• Assesses malfunctions to computer hardware and software
• Attends meetings, classes, and seminarsas assigned
• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs CAT5 cabling; installs, configures, and repairs computer hardware and software; provides basic telecom support (e.g. phone handset troubleshooting, cross-connects and programming)
• Transports various items (e.g. equipment, supplies, etc.)
• Assists other technical personnel, as needed.

Experience:

Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Requirements:
Pre-employment proficiency testing, Valid Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability and Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background clearance.

This is a 12-month position.

Salary: $19.40 Per Hour
