Monday Thursday 7:00 am 4:00 pm, Friday 7:00 am 12:00 pm
Salary: £42,500 per annum

Were looking for a hands-on leader to oversee a busy sheet metal production area within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is all about driving safety, quality, and efficiency while motivating a skilled team to deliver exceptional results. Youll take ownership of day-to-day operations, ensuring targets are met, processes run smoothly, and continuous improvement is embedded across the team.

Key Responsibilities for this Sheet Metal Supervisor role:

Champion health and safety standards and ensure compliance at all times
Lead and develop a multi-skilled team to achieve production goals and KPIs
Plan and prioritise workloads to meet customer and business requirements
Monitor quality standards and ensure all components meet specification
Maintain accurate training records and ensure team competency
Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S practices
Review production methods and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost control
Manage staffing levels and adjust resources to meet changing demands
Investigate non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate production documentation and system updates
Oversee attendance, performance, and absence management for direct reports
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring:

Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing or engineering environment (aerospace or automotive preferred)
Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and machining processes
Knowledge of quality management systems and working to tight tolerances
IT skills at intermediate level
Recognised supervisory qualification desirable
Flexible approach with ability to work additional hours when required
