Quality Engineer

Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for our industry leading client in the Castle Donington area.

Duties

* Compliance with all pertinent Dynamic Aerospace Fabrications Ltd procedures and work instructions within the quality manual.

* Calibration – Control via Gagepack database, calibrated gauges, instruments, CMM’s, oven controls and surveys through 3rd party calibration suppliers

* Interpreting and understanding of drawings, work cards, specifications and other relevant technical documents.

* Writing / amending of procedures / work instructions as required.

* Control and review of specifications in conjunction with the Quality Manager including the update and filing as required.

* Carrying out Internal audits to AS9100/AS13100 in line with the internal audit plan.

* Manage customer returns & supplier corrective actions. Liaise with production personnel and supervision where required to feedback information relating to quality issues both internal and externally raised.

* Investigation into root cause of non-conforming product and the implementation of corrective and preventive action. 8D problem solving

* Communication with customers, supplier and 3rd Parties using internal or their specified documents.

* Active involvement in Continuous Improvement activities.

* Work in an accurate and timely fashion.

Experience

* Quality / Engineering background

* Experience in Root Cause tools (ideally 8D knowledge)

* Audit Experience – AS9100 internal auditor

* Knowledge of Continuous Improvement techniques

* Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace

* Experience of working in Quality Assurance

* Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers

Skills & Qualifications

* Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree, or ONC, A Levels, BTec Diploma

* Level 4 or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification or equivalent experience

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday

7am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am-12pm Friday

or

8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-1pm Friday
