Title – Security officer

Pay Rate – £12.21

Location – Darlington

Shift Timings – Full time, Monday to Friday, 07:00-18:00 or 07:30-17:30 depending on where you will be stationed

Hours will be weekdays only as per previous email, weekends will be ad hoc if required, and there will be no bank holidays (unless they have a delay on site, then we will be made aware with due notice of cover required)

• Security person(s) will be based in a suitable welfare/office unit at the gate who will be responsible for Gate 13 and manage the gate in compliance with the ITC protocol. The guard(s) will record ALL personnel passing through the gate. Visiting personnel that are authorised on site will be given a coloured lanyard with numbered temporary badge which MUST be handed back when they leave the site.
• Security officers will also need to control and record all access to and from the site.
• Two guards will be based at the holding area. One will drive the escort vehicle in front on non‑SC drivers the other will lock and unlock the internal gates when the vehicles have passed through. Personnel access from the holding area into ITC will be through a biometrically controlled turnstile.
• Contractors will be responsible for escorting their own non‑SC personnel from and back to the holding area.

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Minimum 2 years experience in security.
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
