We are partnering with a prestigious international law firm to recruit an experienced Facilities Assistant for their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, service‑driven professional to join a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced corporate environment.
About the RoleThis position plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of a busy legal office. You'll provide day‑to‑day facilities support, deliver exceptional customer service, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and well‑organised workplace. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands‑on role and enjoys being the go‑to person for operational support.
Key Responsibilities- Asset tracking and service request management
- Regular floor walks to support staff and identify issues
- Reporting and monitoring maintenance issues with external vendors
- Supporting reactive tasks and project work with the wider team
- Coordinating office moves and workstation setups
- Preparing new joiner offices and assisting leavers
- Meeting room furniture setup and reconfiguration
- Updating departmental documents and compliance files
- Monitoring and reporting defects (lighting, HVAC, leaks, blinds, etc.)
- Carrying out basic repairs and troubleshooting
- Supervising contractors as required
- Supporting health & safety inspections, DSE checks, and risk assessments
We are seeking someone who brings professionalism, initiative, and a strong customer‑service mindset.
- Ideally at least 3 years' experience in a facilities role within a law firm
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
- Calm, professional approach in a busy environment
- Strong administrative and record‑keeping abilities
- Comfortable with physical duties and hands‑on tasks
- Strong communication skills across all levels
- Knowledge of health & safety and building services (desirable)
- H&S or IWFM qualifications (advantageous)
