Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with a background in heritage or restoration construction? Join a well-established, values-led company in Battersea that specialises in breathing new life into London’s historic buildings.
With a low staff turnover, genuine progression opportunities, and a strong team culture, this is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to make a long-term impact and grow within a respected business.
The Role:
As Contracts Manager, you’ll report directly to the Construction Director and oversee 1–4 concurrent projects (typically valued between £100K–£5M) across Greater London.
You’ll split your time between our Battersea office and active sites, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day contract delivery across multiple live heritage/restoration projects
* Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver works on time and within budget
* Ensure strict compliance with contract terms, health & safety regulations, and conservation standards
* Liaise regularly with clients, consultants, and the internal team to ensure seamless communication
* Monitor project performance, cost control, programme adherence, and quality assurance
* Support the Construction Director in strategic planning and resource allocation
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager in the heritage or restoration sector
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* Solid understanding of traditional construction techniques and conservation best practices
* Ability to manage multiple sites with varying complexity and scale
* A proactive, team-focused approach and attention to detail
* SMSTS and relevant health & safety certifications preferred
What We Offer:
* Stable, well-established company with low staff turnover
* A clear path to further leadership roles
* Supportive, people-oriented culture where your experience is valued
* Involvement in iconic London heritage projects
* Competitive salary + benefits
* Office base in Battersea with regular site visits across London
