Our client based in Middlesex and are looking for a Residential Estimator to join their team.

About the Company:

A top residential developer based in Middlesex, specialising in building communities with over 50 years’ experience they have a reputation for high quality design and build, sound governance and good management practices.

The Developer build over 600 units per annum consisting of high rise apartments, brown field sites in London and around the home counties most of which are major RC sites

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Attend site, visit as and when required to gather information for tendering
• Analyse drawings, accurately analyse & evaluate detailed specifications, understand scope of work, investigate details and other documentation
• Gather quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for certain elements of the work
• Prepare cost estimates and complete tender responses
• Plan and respond to quotation requests within an agreed timescale
• Liaising with architects and clients if required and manage expectations
• Produce valuation claims if required
• Order and Procurement of materials if required
• Site visits and Project Management if required
• Maintain up to date information and ensure accurate handover of projects to the delivery team if required

Key

Skills & Experience:

• Experience with in the Construction Industry as an Estimator is required with residential experience (min 1-2 years’ experience)
• Ability to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
• Commercially & strategically aware – Maintain a strong awareness of long-term goals and plans
• Highly numerate with well-developed ability to accurately manipulate numerical information
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Must have a hunger for knowledge and willing to learn

In Return:

• Great work life balance 9.00 am – 5.30 pm (No weekends)
• 10 % bonus at the end of the year and an unofficial bonus of 2% for every year worked amongst other great perks
