An Assistant Mechanical Estimator is required to work for a Main Contractor in London

You will be working on a range of different projects including residential, healthcare, commercial and heritage schemes valuing up to £10m.

This Main Contractor has a strong name in the construction industry with an impressive track record with a lot of repeated contracts by previous clients

• Preparation and submission of electrical and mechanical tenders.
• Review enquiries and identifying items from manufacture and subcontractors speaking with clients to resolve queries.
• Speaking with suppliers and subcontractors over identified services ensuring that the services that they are offering are compliant with clients’ needs.
• Taking off quantities from drawings and putting them onto the system
• Making sure deadlines are achieved where possible but keep all involved informed of any delays.
• High level of drive, energy and initiative, proactive, focused, tenacious and being committed.

• Experience as a Site Manager.
• Degree qualified in construction management or relevant trade experience
• Main contracting experience.
• Good numeracy and computer skills
• Knowledge of materials/construction methods
• Working well as a team
• Capable of meeting deadlines
• Good communication skills
