The Role
This role offers the opportunity to undertake a full range of building surveying duties while working closely with senior team members. You will gain hands on project experience and be supported as you work towards Chartered status.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting senior surveyors with day-to-day project delivery Contract administration (projects up to £3.5m VAT) Insurance reinstatement projects Planned maintenance surveys Preparing design and specification documents Condition surveys and defect diagnosis Licences for Alterations Party Wall matters Pre-acquisition surveys Project management and Employers Agent duties Reinstatement Cost Assessments Supporting client relationships and service delivery Contributing to new and repeat business opportunities Managing smaller projects with growing responsibility over time Ongoing CPD participation Essential Requirements: RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree (or equivalent) Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word & Excel Good understanding of construction, building pathology, and health & safety Knowledge of Building Safety ACT 2022 Desire to progress within a consultancy environment Commitment to achieving RICS Chartered status Strong communication and teamwork skills Professional, well-presented, and confident in asking questions Willingness to travel when required Desirable:
Experience using AutoCAD or similar software Previous industry experience (e.g., placement year or work experience) Full, clean driving licence (advantageous but not essential) Within one hours commute of Waterloo
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: £30,000 £ 45,000 (DOE) Bonus:
