Our client, a creative with a busy multi-disciplinary studio, is seeking an exceptional Studio Manager / Production Manager to take a leading operational role. This is a rare opportunity to support a globally recognised creative, overseeing the planning, coordination and delivery of all studio output spanning sculpture, painting, research and complex project-based work.
Acting as the central operational hub, the Studio Manager / Production Manager will ensure clarity, structure and momentum across all production workflows keeping projects on track, supporting the studio team and maintaining the highest standards of organisation and communication.
Key Responsibilities Production & Workflow Management- Oversee timelines for artwork production, exhibitions and all project deliverables.
- Maintain and manage a comprehensive production calendar, ensuring visibility of all deadlines and critical paths.
- Ensure all team members—creative, production and the artist—understand milestones and are planning effectively.
- Monitor progress across multiple studio spaces, identifying issues early and implementing practical solutions.
- Oversee daily management of the studio team.
- Track holidays, absences and staff availability.
- Coordinate staff appraisals, performance reviews and general HR administration.
- Arrange and manage travel logistics for the studio team.
- Support a positive, organised and high‑performing studio culture.
- Work closely with the artist’s Personal EA to align diary commitments.
- Maintain a regular presence across studio locations to ensure operational flow and strong communication.
- Coordinate international shipping and logistics for artworks in line with exhibition timelines.
- Support the documentation and handover process with galleries, curators and external fabricators.
- Maintain oversight of materials, production resources and supplier relationships.
- Experienced in production or workflow management within an artistic, creative, fabrication, events, TV/film or similar fast‑paced environment.
- An outstanding communicator—clear, concise and professional.
- Highly organised, deadline‑driven and adept at managing multiple concurrent work streams.
- Calm, decisive and solutions‑focused in fast‑changing situations.
- Energetic and proactive, comfortable working across several studio spaces.
- Skilled at anticipating needs, troubleshooting issues and maintaining momentum within a high‑pressure, creative production setting.
- Work closely with a prestigious individual and contribute to significant creative and exhibition output.
