Senior Product Designer

About the Role

A Senior Product Designer at Freetrade will conceive, design, and ship new products and features aimed at making customers' financial lives better. The role focuses on autonomy, customer‑centric design, and collaboration with engineering, research, product, compliance, and business teams.

• Conceive, design, and ship new products and features that excite customers.
• Contribute to and maintain the Design System foundation for iOS, Android, and responsive Web, aligned with Design Principles.
• Take full ownership of work, responsible for every last detail and step.
• Listen to customers and let their needs guide solutions.
• Work closely with Engineering to ensure high‑quality implementation.
• Collaborate with research, product, compliance, and business to find practical solutions to design challenges.
• Deeply care about customers and provide exceptional app experiences.
• Help build a strong design culture within the company.
• Foster a collaborative and customer‑centric culture.
• Proactively seek ways to improve product, aiming for best‑in‑class design.
• Leverage AI technology to make daily work more efficient.
• Make designs evidence‑based and articulate design decisions rationale.

• 5+ years of product design experience with portfolio showcasing commercial expertise, contributions to design systems and cross‑platform products.
• Expertise in Figma, including variables and developer mode for handover process.
• Produce pixel‑perfect designs and prototypes to communicate with engineers and stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of UI/UX trends and technology standards for iOS, Android, and Web.
• Design end‑to‑end experiences following a cohesive design‑thinking process.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative user research methods; plan and facilitate research sessions, turning insights into actions that drive product direction.
• Produce visually appealing, functional designs and prototypes with a customer‑centric approach.
• Balance theoretical problem exploration with visual design solution.
• Understand performance metrics and experimentation.
• Creativity and empathy; inspire and motivate team members.
• Strong empathy; adopt customer mindset even in unfamiliar subjects.

• Design degree or related field.
• Experience working within financial services.
