Plasma Physicist

Founded in 2017, Thrust Me is a pioneering space technology company specializing in advanced propulsion systems for small satellites. We are global experts in satellite propulsion, pushing the boundaries of streamlined in‑orbit mobility for the rapidly expanding satellite constellation industry. Our clients across the US, Europe, and Asia trust us to design and deliver high‑performance, precision‑engineered propulsion systems that push technological boundaries while meeting demanding timelines and budgets.

We made history in 2019 and 2020 with the world’s first in‑orbit demonstrations of iodine‑fueled electric propulsion systems. Today, we are experiencing rapid growth, with over 300 systems ordered to date.

In parallel, Thrust Me has developed a series of plasma sources representing the ionosphere and upper atmosphere for advanced space applications, now in use by different research centres elsewhere. We are dedicated to shaping the future of space technology and are seeking a talented Plasma Physicist to join our Innovation Team.

As Plasma Physicist at Thrust Me’s Innovation team, you will be in charge of the development of new concepts and early‑stage prototypes of plasma systems for ionosphere representation. You will also work on challenging beam and plasma diagnostic problems, ranging from plasma characterization to setting up home‑made diagnostic tools like ExB and time‑of‑flight probes. By joining the Innovation Team you will be at the interface between research and new product development, defining novel concepts and turning them into future cutting‑edge technologies.
