Job Title

Structural Engineer – Project or Senior Level (London, WC1)

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum.

Location:

London (Central, WC1). Flexible working – minimum 3 days in office per week.

Reputable and well‑established multidisciplinary design consultancy with around 200 staff has an opening for a Project or Senior level structural engineer to join their London team. The firm works on a variety of building projects, ranging from small residential schemes up to large mixed‑use developments. Projects average from £5‑15 million in value. The London team has around 10 staff and is a friendly office.

• Run structural projects from design through to completion, overseeing technical aspects and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Lead and mentor a small team of graduate engineers.
• Provide design, site‑visit, inspection and liaison support with clients and architects.
• Work across main construction materials on refurbishments and new build projects.
• Advance towards or attain Chartered Engineer status, with firm support where needed.

• Minimum five years of varied experience in a building design practice.
• Forward‑thinking design ethos and ability to manage multiple project stages.
• Strong technical knowledge of structural engineering principles and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
