Position: Senior Auditor with focus on P&C Underwriting (Hybrid; 80- 100%)

About the Role

As a Senior Auditor with focus on P&C Underwriting in Group Internal Audit (GIA), you will have the opportunity to leverage your underwriting knowledge across the end-to-end value chain while participating in a variety of audit activities. You will engage with senior underwriters and function heads on a regular basis across multiple underwriting lines of business.

This role is an opportunity to deal with themes that have organizational impact and drive the risk culture of Swiss Re.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead / contribute to various audits, using your expertise to deliver technically excellent reports on time.
  • Provide management with insights into improvement opportunities, building on audit findings.
  • Monitor risk landscape, analyze relevant data points to inform GIA risk assessment and audit plans.
  • Coaching other members of the audit team on technical underwriting topics.
  • Challenging the audit teams to excel by acting as a role model.

About You

We are looking for an inspiring person who is curious, delivery‑oriented and a team‑player, and is able to think creatively and critically and generate innovative ideas and can also communicate effectively and deliver in ambiguous situations.

You are passionate about innovation and transformation including data analytics.

Essentials
  • Extensive experience in the insurance and/or reinsurance industry.
  • In‑depth understanding of the end‑to‑end underwriting process in P&C Re/Insurance.
  • Practical experience in pricing and underwriting.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience with internal or external reviews or audits.
  • Experience across multiple lines of business.

For London based role, the base salary range for this position is between GBP 84,000 and GBP 126,000 (for a full‑time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance‑based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.

Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
