Position: Senior Officer - Relationship Management (Financial Institutions)
Location: City of Westminster

Financial Institutions department manages and develops long term, mutually beneficial relationships between the Bank and Financial Institutions clients across the world. The sector includes banks and non‑financial institutions such as asset managers and insurance companies as well as clearing houses, exchanges and central banks. As a Senior Officer ‑ Relationship Manager (Financial Institutions), you will be responsible to focus on supporting the development and management of business relationships with Non‑Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI), with a specific emphasis on alternative NBFIs and broader Asset Managers.

The role also covers the Financial Leasing industry. You will be supporting in developing institutional client origination and business development strategies to achieve prudent and sustainable business growth for the Bank. This is a full time permanent position.

Responsibilities
  • Assist to manage a portfolio of existing NBFI client relationships, focusing on cross‑selling the Bank's products and services
  • As a first line of defence (1

    LoD) role, support with origination and onboarding of new NBFI clients, ensuring compliance with customer due diligence, regulatory, and legal requirements throughout the pre‑closing, closing, and post‑lending monitoring processes
  • Coordinate with internal departments and product managers to provide high‑quality service and product coverage to NBFI clients
  • Prepare credit reports and be responsible for the post‑lending management
  • Collaborate with FI Head Office and overseas branches to enhance the growth of the London Branch's NBFI client base
  • Perform ad‑hoc duties and prepare reports as required, ensuring compliance with local jurisdictional regulatory and legal requirements, as well as adherence to the Bank's policies and procedures in all client marketing activities
Qualifications
  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Business or other relevant subject
  • Ideally with a CFA or equivalent industry qualification
  • Demonstrated experience working in Banking
  • Experience in Asset Management and/or alternative NBFI sectors, including deal execution and day‑to‑day management of a portfolio of transactions, is preferred
  • Experience with RCFs, Term Loans, Letters of Credit (LCs), and counter party credit lines with Asset Management clients is preferred
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and financial products within the asset management and financial leasing industries
  • Good credit analysis skills, including credit writing and assessment of credit risk
