Senior Lending Product Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Lending Product Manager who brings genuine lending expertise and knows what makes a successful lending proposition work commercially.

This is an opportunity for someone with strong SME and secured real estate lending experience
, who understands pricing, margin and profitability and can use that expertise to help shape and strengthen our lending proposition.

You’ll join Cynergy Bank at an exciting time, working across Product, Credit, Risk and Operations to influence how we develop, price, manage and grow our lending products.

We’re looking for someone who can join us immediately or at short notice
, with a salary of £75,000–£85,000 depending on experience
. The role is initially offered on a 9-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend depending on business requirements
.

What you'll be doing

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain an existing product set. You'll have the opportunity to get under the skin of our lending proposition, influence its commercial performance and help determine where we go next.

You'll:

• Shape and develop our lending proposition
  , identifying opportunities to improve existing products and support sustainable growth.

• Own pricing and margin
  , balancing competitiveness, customer outcomes, risk and commercial return.

• Manage lending products across the full product lifecycle
  , from proposition development and business case through to implementation, performance and optimisation.

• Use portfolio, customer, competitor and market insight to spot opportunities and turn them into clear commercial recommendations.

• Develop strong business cases for new products and product changes.

• Work closely with Credit, Risk, Operations and senior stakeholders to turn ideas into commercially viable lending solutions.

• Monitor product performance against clear KPIs and take action where opportunities or issues emerge.

• Keep close to developments across the SME and commercial lending market, bringing fresh thinking and external insight into the business.

What we're looking for

We're deliberately looking for lending depth
, not simply general product management experience.

You'll ideally bring:

• Strong SME lending experience

• Strong secured real estate lending experience

• Demonstrable experience of pricing and margin ownership

• Strong commercial judgement and a solid understanding of lending economics

• Experience using data and insight to inform product and pricing decisions

• The ability to work effectively across Product, Credit, Risk and Operations

• Confidence influencing, challenging and working with senior stakeholders

Even better if you have:

• Club and/or syndicated lending experience

• Cash-flow lending experience
