Location: City Of London

Support Worker – Female

Pay rate: £14.50 per hour (paid weekly or monthly)

Shift pattern: Day shifts – Monday to Friday 10:00‑17:00, Night shifts – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday 20:00‑08:00

Location: New Malden, Surrey (local to the area required)

About the role

Work with a family caring for a child with complex needs caused by Spinal Muscular Atrophy and a brain injury. The child requires a tracheostomy, ventilation and PEG tube feeding. The role involves providing high‑quality support on a 2:1 basis, ensuring compassionate and attentive care tailored to the child’s needs.

  • Engage the child in meaningful activities and take them out in the community to promote social interaction and well‑being.
  • Support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organised living environment that fosters comfort and independence.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently in the child’s preferred manner, building a strong and trusting relationship.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience with complex care, PEG feeding and children’s care.
  • Desirable experience with non‑bal care, ventilation and tracheostomy.
