A growing organisation in the financial services sector is looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to join their technology team in London. This is a standalone, on‑site role ideal for someone with an operations or infrastructure background who understands the full software delivery lifecycle, from deployment and troubleshooting to CI/CD optimisation and automation.
This is a true Dev Ops role. While the environment includes Azure cloud tools, the focus is not on cloud engineering, it's about pipeline ownership, system reliability, and delivery improvement. You'll be part of a wider team but will be taking full responsibility for your environment.
The RoleYou will support legacy and modern application infrastructure, working with .NET and SQL‑based systems. You will manage deployments, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements to efficiency and reliability.
This position is ideal for someone who works autonomously, is confident in their technical decisions, and is keen to identify areas for automation and optimisation.
Key Responsibilities- Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines across development, testing, and production environments
- Deploy and support .NET applications, SQL Server databases, and SSIS packages
- Troubleshoot legacy systems and identify opportunities for modernisation
- Collaborate with remote teams while managing all local Dev Ops responsibilities
- Support scripting and automation efforts using tools such as Power Shell
- Operate within a hybrid cloud environment, primarily using Azure Dev Ops and related services
- Strong Dev Ops background, ideally from infrastructure, operations, or application support
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tooling such as Azure Dev Ops, Octopus Deploy, or Team City
- Knowledge of SQL Server and SSIS
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Power Shell, Terraform)
- Comfortable working independently on site while collaborating with distributed teams
- Confident communicator with excellent problem‑solving and delivery skills
- Experience with Azure is beneficial, though not the primary focus
- Salary up to £70,000
- Permanent role based on‑site in London
- Opportunity to take full ownership of Dev Ops delivery in a business‑critical environment
- Exposure to major automation and AI‑led initiatives
- Support for professional development and future progression
If you’re looking for a hands‑on Dev Ops role where you can make a direct impact, shape delivery processes, and be part of a modernisation journey, apply now to find out more.
