Job Title:
Business Architect
To work across multiple business work streams and senior stakeholders within the bank, ensuring that technology solutions for core banking and current account journeys (including lending and account switching) are designed, developed, and implemented effectively. The role ensures alignment with overall business and IT strategies by translating business requirements into actionable technical designs and maintaining both current and target state architectures
.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical architecture for loans, current and savings accounts, and operational platforms, focusing on scalability, resiliency, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop solutions and designs that align with business goals and enterprise architecture strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure solutions meet business requirements and risk controls.
• Translate business requirements into comprehensive architectural designs serving as blueprints for implementation.
• Advise business and product teams, supporting technical delivery and driving innovation in the banking landscape.
• Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies for projects, challenging vendor solutions to ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
• Design and facilitate end-to-end solutions, define integration patterns, and ensure processes are efficient and aligned with business needs.
• Drive consistent, innovative solutions that meet both strategic and operational goals for current account and core banking functions.

Skills & Experience

• Deep knowledge of core banking systems (experience with platforms like Temenos Transact is a plus).
• Proficiency with data technologies, including real-time data streams and batch processing.
• Ability to assess and manage risks related to solution design and delivery.
• Strong understanding of banking cost drivers and ability to optimize solutions for cost-effectiveness.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable:

• Experience in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
• Familiarity with cloud adoption strategies, APIs, and Dev Ops practices.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks in financial services.
