The role sits at the heart of the Security Operations function within the Security Operations Business Management pillar. It drives the management and oversight of critical performance metrics, delivering sharp and timely incident reporting and ensuring seamless engagement with our partners at all levels.
Responsibilities- Translate sophisticated cyber threats and trends into actionable insights for business entities within the Group.
- Bridge between technical teams and senior stakeholders—report on operational performance, drive strategic decisions, and ensure readiness for external audits.
- Seek proactive opportunities for innovation in how Security Operations derives impact from its data.
- Become the domain expert across Security Operations’ services, tooling and data sets to represent the function in audit and regulatory settings.
- Uphold governance standards and navigate complex audit and regulatory landscapes to keep the organisation compliant and cyber-resilient.
- Establish yourself as a domain expert for Security Operations’ controls, processes and infrastructure to meet audit requirements and produce evidence reports.
- Delivery and advancement of the Security Operations Metrics Program, including preparing and communicating reports, proposals, and updates to leadership and key stakeholders across the group.
- Drive department initiatives and collaboration, with a proactive approach to identifying, quantifying and implementing change to improve efficiency.
- Strong understanding of Cyber Security Operations controls and cyber incident management processes; knowledge of a Global Security Operations Centre’s function.
- Experience with audits and comfort under regulatory scrutiny is a strong asset.
- Ability to gather, assess and communicate information tailored to different audiences, including senior leadership and board members.
- Experience in metrics reporting and understanding of Key Risk and Key Performance Indicators; familiarity with standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, DORA) is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills; responsive, articulate, and able to address challenges with thoughtful input.
- Experience and knowledge of cyber security, particularly in global financial services or regulated environments.
