What

Sets Us Apart

Our blend of modern technology, competitive benefits, and an open, welcoming work culture enables our people to thrive. By joining DeepL, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to innovation and employee well‑being, building products that foster connections and have a real‑life impact.

Meet the team behind this journey

As a Product Designer at DeepL, you’ll shape the experience for our Enterprise and API users. You’ll join a cross‑functional team that delivers our core product, partnering with product managers and engineers to drive the product vision.

About

This is a high-impact role for designers who enjoy technical complexity, care about user experience, and thrive in collaborative environments. You’ll focus on two strategic areas:

  • API Growth: Design self‑serve and sales‑assist funnels to optimize activation, trial‑to‑paid conversion, and net revenue retention.
  • Enterprise Platform: Develop admin, governance, and security features.

You will also contribute to DeepL’s design community—evolving our craft, sharing best practices, and raising the bar for design across the company.

Your Responsibilities
  • Own the design strategy for growth and enterprise platform features, ensuring cohesive experiences across technical products.
  • Design funnels and growth experiences that drive measurable improvements in conversion and retention.
  • Develop enterprise features such as usage dashboards and administrative controls.
  • Conduct user research to define problems and validate solutions.
  • Translate technical and business requirements into design language.
  • Deliver polished Figma specifications ready for engineering implementation.
Qualities we look for
  • 3+ years designing web applications, ideally B2B/SaaS or technical products (APIs, developer tools, enterprise software).
  • Strong user‑centered design process—from problem discovery to measuring impact.
  • Proven ability to design for business metrics (conversion, retention, activation).
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative insights to guide decisions.
  • Proficiency in Figma and maintaining high design standards.
  • Experience with globally‑scaled products.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.
  • Fluent English (German is a plus).
What We Offer
  • Diverse and internationally distributed team; over 90 nationalities across the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, US, and Japan.
  • Open communication, regular feedback, and a culture of empathy and growth mindset.
  • Hybrid work with flexible hours and three office days per week.
  • Monthly full‑day hacking sessions (Hack Fridays) to pursue passion projects.
  • 30 days of annual leave plus access to mental health resources.
  • Competitive benefits package tailored to each location.
  • Virtual Shares—an ownership mindset in every role.
We are an equal opportunity employer

You are welcome at DeepL for who you are—we appreciate authenticity here. Our product is for everyone, and so is our workplace. The more voices we have represented and amplified in our business, the more we will all succeed, contribute, and think forward! Bring us your personal experience, your perspectives, and your background. It’s in our diversity that we will find the power to break down language barriers in the world.
