Application Support Analyst

Petroineos Trading Limited is an international integrated energy trading company based in London, UK. The role is an Application Support Analyst reporting to the Application Support Manager.

• Provide technical and functional support for IT managed applications to investigate and resolve production issues.
• Log and manage incidents through to resolution, including proactive communication with end users.
• Escalate and track issues to 3rd line support (internal and 3rd parties) and ensure resolution.
• Understand the level of service and availability associated with each system (SLAs) and strive to achieve this.
• Ensure releases and changes are adequately managed, correctly documented and have a sufficient roll‑back plan.
• Develop production support infrastructure, processes and procedures to improve quality of service.
• Define and maintain clear documentation explaining how to resolve key software issues and continually refine this documentation as products enter production use.
• Manage end‑of‑day application processes.
• Enter approved master data into systems following business approval.
• Provide support in fail‑over to disaster recovery environments.

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Understanding of ETRM systems (preferably Openlink Endur, Amphora Symphony and/or Planlogic EoS).
• Understanding of core trading processes.
• Proven ability to work within a team and drive improvements.
• Adapt to and manage the changing priorities of the business, set realistic expectations and deliver to these expectations.
