Overview
Translates conversational risk data from LLMs and agents into insurer-grade quote and bind requests. Connects to multiple carrier pricing and underwriting systems (via existing exchanges, APIs, and controlled automation where required). Applies shared KYC, AML, fraud, and IDV checks as a first-class layer. Normalises responses across carriers, returning safe, explainable quotes and guidance - including when to decline or escalation.
The opportunity is significant. There is no clear category leader, incumbents are architecturally misaligned, and regulators are only beginning to shape how AI-driven distribution should work. This is a narrow window to define a new protocol for insurance. We are early by design. The solution is well-formed, but scope decisions remain: initial product lines, customer buyer, and whether v1 focuses on pricing alone or full policy lifecycle.
This role exists to make those calls and turn the hypothesis into a category-defining company. See our concept deck for more. We don't just fund ideas - we co-build them.
- Define the wedge. Decide what we ship first: line(s) of business, geography, buyer, and whether v1 is pricing-only or quote-to-bind.
- Turn a thesis into a product. Convert conversational AI workflows into a compliant, insurer-grade MCP/API that actually gets used in production.
- Win the first customers. Identify who signs the first cheque and secure lighthouse insurers, MGAs, or PCWs willing to build against a new rail.
- Ship through legacy. Make pragmatic integration decisions across carrier APIs, exchanges, and portals without compromising long-term platform strategy.
- Bake in trust. Ensure KYC, AML, fraud, and IDV are first-class infrastructure, not bolt-ons - and credible to regulators and insurers.
- Set the standard. Position the company as the default, regulated insurance endpoint for LLMs and agent-based channels.
- Build the company. Hire the initial team, raise capital, and create momentum in a market that doesn't yet have a category leader.

- Founder or senior operator who has built a B2B platform or infrastructure product from zero to one.
- Deep familiarity with insurance or regulated financial services - enough to navigate underwriting systems, distribution, and compliance without hand-holding.
- Strong product and technical instincts: you can reason about APIs, data models, and integrations even if you're not writing the code yourself.
- Experience selling to large, risk-averse enterprises and winning early lighthouse customers.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity: shaping the product, defining the buyer, and making irreversible calls with incomplete data.
- Credibility with both conservative incumbents and forward-looking AI/platform teams.
- Most importantly, you are motivated by category creation - defining a new standard, not optimising an old one.

We're now exploring concepts at the intersection of wealth management and technology. We are building the AI-native insurance rails: a single MCP that allows LLMs, agents, and conversational interfaces to safely quote and bind ay, insurance distribution infrastructure is fundamentally human-centric. Carrier systems expect rigid forms, proprietary schemas, and legacy pipes. Fraud, KYC, AML, and IDV checks are fragmented and bolted on.
As a result, emerging LLM and agent-based channels cannot reliably interact with insurers in a compliant, bindable way.
