Senior DevOps Architect

As a Senior Dev Ops Architect you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure whilst providing technical leadership across multiple projects. You will be responsible for architecting solutions, migrating clusters, ensuring robust BCP plans, and fostering a culture of documentation and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies, as outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement infrastructure solutions leveraging Git Hub, AWS Cloud, Terraform/Terragrunt, EKS Fargate, FluxCD/Kustomize, Python AWS Lambdas, Oracle, and Postgres.
• Lead the migration of clusters to other clusters, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
• Develop and maintain robust BCP (Business Continuity Planning) plans, ensuring our systems are resilient and recoverable in the event of disruptions.
• Establish and maintain documentation processes using Confluence, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for all systems and processes.
• Conduct architectural reviews of current designs, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple projects, guiding and mentoring team members to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.

Hands-on Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Git Hub and Git Hub Actions.
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and Cloud Formation.
• Strong expertise in Terraform/Terragrunt, with a willingness to transition to Open Tofu.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as EKS Fargate (consideration for EKS with managed nodes).
• Familiarity with FluxCD/Kustomize for Git Ops workflows.
• Proficient in Python AWS Lambdas for serverless computing.
• Solid understanding of Oracle and Postgres databases.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing BCP plans.
• Demonstrated experience in migrating clusters and infrastructure.
• Expertise in documentation processes, preferably with Confluence.
• Ability to work autonomously, driving architectural decisions and solutions without hand-holding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
