Job Title:
Oracle DB technical Architect
Location:
London, UK (2 days in a week from office, Hybrid) Job type: 6 Months contract with possible extension
- This role requires the candidate who is already holding active Security Check (SC) clearance in accordance with UK Government standards.
- Design implement and manage Exadata Cloud Service ExaCS database solutions
- Develop and maintain database architecture strategies to support business goals
- Lead the migration and integration of databases across multi-cloud database environments including Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
- Ensure high availability scalability and performance of database systems
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to define and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
- Hands-on experience with migrating large databases to Exadata ExaCS / ExaCC platform.
- Experience with migrating database to ATP ADW.
- Design database consolidation and reduce OPEX spending.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database architects and administrators.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning and security assessments.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and cloud offerings.
- Implement and manage Exadata X9 hardware including persistent memory (PMem) and RDMA algorithms to optimize performance and reduce latency.
- Deploy and manage Exadata X1110M98 hardware leveraging its scale‑out high‑performance database servers and intelligent storage servers.
- Extensive knowledge and troubleshooting experience in the following areas: RAC, RAT testing, ASM, Exadata performance tuning, Data Guard, Physical and Logical DG, Broker.
- Experience in database security (TDE, Audit Vault, OKV, etc).
- Experience in OS administration:
Linux, Solaris, virtualization, storage (ZFS, ZDLRA).
