Job title: Trainee Underwriting Assistant

Lawes is partnering with a Lloyds Syndicate in their London office to recruit a Trainee Underwriting Assistant within the International Property team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent Graduate or A-Level (or equivalent) candidate looking to start their career in insurance within an underwriting environment. The successful candidate will support the Underwriters with managing the book of risks and handling a variety of administrative duties.

Full training and development will be provided.

• Responsible for dealing with incoming calls and emails.
• Entering and processing risk information
• Analysing data and providing reports to Underwriters
• Liaising with Underwriters and Brokers as needed
• Prepare and issue insurance documents such as evidence of cover
• Data entry and general administrative duties
• Ad-hoc duties as needed

• Educated to Degree level – preferred
• Minimum of 3 A-Levels grades C or above (or equivalent)
• An understanding of Insurance and a desire to continue to learn
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
