This programme is aimed at Year 13 students (or equivalent) and school leavers without a degree. It is open to anyone regardless of their socio‑economic background.
Program Overview- Length of contract:
Six years. - Salary: £32,000 in the first year (increasing annually) plus an initial sign‑on bonus of £3,000.
- Work/study pattern:
One day of study per week at BPP University and four days of on‑the‑job training. - Location:
London. - Qualifications at completion: LLB Law Degree and qualification as an England & Wales solicitor (through the SQE route).
- Predicted AAB at A‑Level or equivalent (extenuating circumstances will be considered).
- No degree required.
- Right to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship.
- Minimum of Grade 4 in Maths and English.
- Minimum GCSE criteria not required.
You’ll spend one day per week studying towards your degree at BPP University, attending sessions, workshops and events. The rest of the week you’ll work in our London office, receiving on‑the‑job training and learning the key skills needed to become a successful legal professional. You’ll be assigned to a legal practice area and will rotate every 12 months during the first four years, and every 6 months during the final two years.
In the final two years, you will complete your SQE 1 & 2 to become a fully qualified solicitor. Throughout the programme you’ll attend Linklaters’ legal training courses and have access to professional development events. A Principal (senior lawyer) and mentors will supervise and provide career guidance.
