Labourer​/Trainee Floor Layer

Due to expansion in the business and newly secured projects, we are currently looking for labourers/trainee floor layers to join our team.

We require a hard working individual who has a can-do attitude and a willing to learn the trade. Starting from a labour basis we are looking to train the right candidate to become a competent floor layer and someone who can then manage individual flooring installations. As development occurs wages will be increased to reflect the new responsibility held.

Based in Orpington, Kent we cover the whole of the UK but mainly work within the South East and Central London areas. Applicant will need to be able to make their way to and from the site on a daily basis. Travel will be covered whilst in the traineeship.

Typical labouring activities to begin with will include:

• Preparation for jobs - unloading deliveries, maintenance of equipment.
• Using a range of floor preparation equipment.
• Prepping the floor for the floor layers.
• Laying floor protection.
• Learning how to lay different flooring products such as LVT, timber, carpet tiles etc.
• Performing clean up tasks on site.
• Ensuring good H&S practice throughout.
• Any other tasks asked by a TCS manager.

Requirements:

• Full driving licence (preferred)
• Willing to learn and take direction from experienced floor layers and site management.
• Ability to work under pressure, in a physically demanding role.
• Able to communicate well with a team, and other trades on site.
• CSCS Card (we can assist if needed)
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
